The Green Guide website is put out by National Geographic and offers advice for everything from insulation, buying an eco-friendly TV and alternative cars, to water conservation.  

The California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA, founded 1974) is California’s state-wide recycling association. It is the oldest and one of the largest non-profit recycling organizations in the United States - dedicated to achieving environmental sustainability in and beyond California through Zero Waste strategies including product stewardship, waste prevention, reuse, recycling and composting.

Now here’s some interesting innovation you mind enjoy – a Canadian, family-owned-and-operated company known as Atlas Block,  are now producing concrete construction and landscaping materials using colored glass collected through municipal blue bin programs. This company, according to Recycling Product Newsletter (http://rpn.baumpub.com) repurposes 2.5 million wine bottles annually, making a lighter concrete product that has the potential of reaching up to 80% recycled content.
